Case Study: Satisfied client refers his friend, her outcome is just as successful

Like most nurses, 37 year old Jess* often put the needs of others before her own. She hadn’t been blind to the fact that she was losing her hair- she’d been noticing it for nearly ten years – but it wasn’t until some of her patients enquired about her hair loss that she realised how bad it had become.

She remembered that one of her friends had enrolled on to an Ashley and Martin medical hair loss program and had noticed the difference it had made for him. Her friend referred her on to the same clinic where she was able to confidentially discuss her situation with a kind, caring and professional hair loss specialist. Jess explained that her job had put her under large amounts of stress for many years and he agreed that this could, indeed, be a contributing factor to her hair loss.

On examination, Jess’s consultant could see that her scalp was red and inflamed, her hair follicles were badly damaged in the affected areas and her scalp was starting to show through. She was diagnosed at stage Ludwig II but her consultant was confident that he could offer the help that Jess was looking for.
Jess was put on a 12 month treatment program with supplementary medications. The oral medication was diagnosed to halt the process that was causing her hair to shed and the topical medication and laser therapy would stimulate growth.

At her four month review, Jess told her consultant how pleased she was with the progress she was making. Her part line was thickening up nicely and she was starting to get some of her confidence back. What’s more is that her patients and colleagues had also noticed the change, so too had her friend who referred her on. It was his confidence in the Ashley and Martin hair loss specialists that had made her finally take action – the best recommendations are the ones that come from a trusted source and that was certainly true for Jess.
