Case Study 05 – Female 49 with scalp visibility
Female 49, presented with scalp visibility, poor quality hair and chronic daily shedding.
She was anxious and rarely attended social functions.
Examination showed advanced thinning on the top area of the head and thinning in the temple area consistant with Female pattern thinning and Telogen Effluvium.
Client was started on a combination of oral medication, topical treatments and nutritional therapy plus 30 minutes of weekly in clinic laser follicle stimulating therapy.
At 3 months client reported that the shedding had greatly reduced, and that her hair quality was much improved .
Examination at 5 months showed pleasing growth of new hairs and visible scalp area was noticeably lessened. Hair has thickened and shedding has ceased and client was ‘’delighted’’ with her results.
